About eRead Scheme

Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) is always committed to cultivating reading culture, and its ‘eRead Scheme’ provides over 4,200 quality Chinese and English eBooks in various categories and levels suitable for primary and secondary schools by collaborating with over 50 local and overseas publishers.

With a minimal cost of school subscription to the reading packages, students and teachers can have unlimited access to the eBooks in their reading packages during the service period on the cross-platform — EdBookShelf. The platform also provides reading data of students, including the download time of an eBook, the cumulated reading time and completion rate of an eBook for teachers to better understand students’ reading habits, preferences and progress, as well as working on strategies to promote reading in the whole school.
